Biography
Packaging, book covers, postage stamps. Born 27 November 1894 in Hanover. Studied at the Hannover Kunstgewerbeschule and in Berlin. 1918-23: trained in Lucian Bernhard’s studio. Illustrated books and designed book covers for publishers including Ullstein (Berlin) and Propyläen. By 1929: designed postage stamps for Columbia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil. Living in Berlin in 1933.
