Felix Hoffmann

Biography

Books, illustrations, wood engravings, stained-glass windows. Swiss. Born 18 April 1911 in Aarau, Switzerland. 1931-3: studied at the Karlsruhe Kunstgewerbeschule. 1933-4: studied at the Berlin Staatsschule für freie und angewandte Kunst: a teacher was Hans Meid. 1953-9: worked with Gotthard de Beauclair on several books issued by the Trajanus-Presse. Later illustrated children’s books. Designed stained-glass windows in churches in Aarau and Bern. Died 16 June 1975.
