Fritz Husmann

Biography

Born Fritz Friedrich Wilhelm Husmann 15 October 1896 in Bremen. 1911-14: studied painting in the Kunstgewerbeschule, Bremen. Military service in Romania and France; interned until 1919 in prisoner-of-war camps in France and England. 1920-23: studied in the Kunstgewerbeschule, Altona. 1931: gave up decorative arts to concentrate on graphic arts. By 1950: teaching commercial art at Cologne Werkschule.
