Biography
Born 24 January 1901 in Rheindürkheim. From 1919: Studied at the Kunstgewebeschule, Offenbach a.M. , then from 1924 student there of Rudolf Koch. From 1926: taught at the Meisterschule, Aschaffenburg. From 1936: taught lettering, heraldry, decoration at the Städel-Schule, Frankfurt. From 1939: designed publicity for the Bauer Typefoundry, and the Zodiac illustrations for the Bauer almanac. Designed murals, wall-tapestries, stained-glass windows. Died 1961 or 1962.
