Leopold Nettelhorst

Biography

Packaging, typography. Born 30 September 1905 in Friedland, Bohemia. After 1919: settled in Berlin. 1925-8: studied at the Berlin-Charlottenburg Hochschule für freie und angewandte Kunst: a teacher was O.H.W. Hadank. He was later a studio director for Julius Gipkens. 1931-40: freelance work, especially for publishers Ullstein and Scherl; designed technical publications.
